Other manufacturers single leaf lintels are typically between 2mm and 3mm thick, and vary in size dependant on the length. Some start at just 55mm in height.

This lintel is manufactured from 4mm thick steel, and is the same 155mm height profile whether you buy our shortest or longest length.

Overview

The L-100 is a single leaf L shaped angle lintel designed to support a 100mm external skin of masonry.

The lintel offers great strength thanks to it being manufactured from 4mm thick grade S275 mild steel, which is thicker than the industry standard.  

With a hot dipped galvanized finish and 8.4kN safe working load, this lintel is ideal for providing structural support.

It has been load tested in an independant facility and complies with BS EN 845-2:2013+A1:2016, achieving a UKCA mark and ensuring safety.

This lintel is suitable for supporting a single skin of 100mm wide exterior masonry. A minimum of 150mm height brickwork is required before load application.

A minimum of 150mm bearing each end is required.

Propping the lintel at 1.2m maximum centres is required during construction.  Props must remain in place until the wall is fully loaded and the mortar has fully cured.

All of our lintels are new and unsused, however they are stored outside. Due to this there may be marks and signs of weathering. This does not affect the performance of the product.
