Galvanised threaded studs for use with injection resin systems in concrete, brickwork, blockwork and other approved base materials.
Resin anchor studs provide a strong, expansion-free fixing for structural steelwork, base plates, brackets, machinery, handrails and other demanding applications. Unlike mechanical expansion anchors, the stud is bonded into a drilled hole using chemical resin, allowing fixings to be positioned closer to edges and at reduced spacings where permitted by the resin manufacturer’s technical data.
The studs are installed into a correctly drilled and thoroughly cleaned hole filled with a compatible injection resin. Once the resin has fully cured, the fixture can be positioned over the projecting thread and secured using a suitable nut and washer.
Available in property classes 5.8 and 8.8, with a galvanised finish for improved corrosion resistance.

Grade 5.8 or Grade 8.8?
Grade 5.8 studs are suitable for a wide range of general anchoring and structural applications where the calculated load is within the capacity of the complete fixing system.
Grade 8.8 studs have a higher steel strength and may be required for more heavily loaded connections. However, using a higher-grade stud does not automatically increase the capacity of the anchor.
The overall resistance of a resin anchor depends on several factors, including:
- Resin type and approval
- Concrete or masonry strength
- Cracked or non-cracked concrete
- Stud diameter
- Embedment depth
- Hole diameter and drilling method
- Edge distances and anchor spacing
- Installation temperature
- Hole-cleaning procedure
- Condition of the drilled hole
- Steel strength of the stud
The resin, substrate or concrete may govern the connection capacity before the strength of the stud is reached. The required stud grade should therefore be confirmed from the fixing design and applicable resin technical data.

Important Information
The stud and resin must be treated as a complete anchoring system. Load capacity cannot be determined from the stud diameter or property class alone.
The correct resin, stud diameter, grade, embedment depth, spacing and edge distance should be selected from the relevant technical assessment and fixing design.
